In my work, crows are depicted as prophetic divine creatures of premonition, and their physical contact has lessons for us. I treat the crows with respect. I honor their presence. I am sensitive to sightings. I am aware of their connections to the universe.
I believe crows possess the ability to see into the future. My beliefs are substantiated by legends, superstitions, tales, and myths narrated in various cultures and societies. An ancestral man had a primitive understanding of the world and saw nature as populated with spirits and manifestations of power, leading to shared wisdom and respect for treating others and the planet with reverence. My crows are spirit animals. they are powerful and influential in my life.
For the ancient Greeks, crows were a symbol of Apollo in his role as the god of prophecy. Augury, which used birds for divination, was popular among both the Greeks and the Romans. Based on one’s culture, crows were either a blessing or a potential curse, and the word omen is often used in association with them.
Crows' are intellligent. They used their facial recognition abilities well before iPhones existed. They are depicted in folklore stories as magical and mystical creatures with supernatural and spiritual powers. They see us. they watch us. And I watch them.
